David Jonathan
David Jonathan (David J. Hinkle) was born and raised in Colorado. He currently lives in Milton, Florida. He is married and has 2 wonderful children. He writes, performs, and records all his music under his independent label, Friends In The Fire TM.
A little history about those who have inspired David in his musical journey. One of the very first music artists that really captured David with conviction of song writing was Keith Green. Keith Green was called "The Musical Prophet" in David's terms. Later in life David was introduced to another musician, John Michael Talbott. The first of the rock bands that David listened to were bands like, David and the Giants, Rez Band, and Stryper. About the time Newsboys hit it big, David was listening to others like LSU (Life Savers University). Mike Knott with LSU was so out there that David just couldn't resist the urge to be different. His first guitar teacher Steve liked KingsX and David soon realized that there were Christians out there making music that was far different from the songs he heard sitting in church. DC Talk started his adventure into the mainstream and that lead him to others like Starflyer59. Starflyer59 is one of David's favorites. Today, David likes MuteMath and bands like Jeremy Camp and David Crowder Band. Still looking back though, Keith Green is one of David's favorites for laying your faith in check and Michael Knott is an artist that David finds to be the most honest in relaying personal struggles.
